A $1.OO PER MINUTE LATE FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY CHILD PICKED UP AFTER 6:00 PM.

ENROLLMENT

BUTTONS AND BOWS I (MITCHELL MILL RD) ACCEPTS CHILDREN STARTING AT TWELVE WEEKS OF AGE.

BUTTONS AND BOWS II (JACQUELINE LN) ACCEPTS CHILDREN STARTING AT TWELVE MONTHS OF AGE.

SUPPLY FEE

A YEARLY SUPPLY FEE OF $100.00 IS DUE ON DECEMBER 1ST.

 

WEEKLY TUITION

WEEKLY TUITION IS DUE ON MONDAY OF EACH WEEK.   THERE ARE NO FREE DAYS OR WEEKS. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISMISS YOUR CHILD AT ANY TIME TUITION IS NOT PAID IN FULL.

 

RETURNED CHECK POLICY

THERE WILL BE A $10.00 SERVICE CHARGE FOR ANY CHECKS RETURNED DUE TO NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS. AFTER TWO NSF CHECKS WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT CASH.

 

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT HOME WHEN THEY HAVE A FEVER, DIARRHEA, ARE VOMITING OR APPEAR TOO ILL TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES. PARENTS SHOULD ADVISE THE SCHOOL IF THEIR CHILD HAS A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE SO THAT OTHER PARENTS MAY BE INFORMED.

 

NORTH CAROLINA STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT ALL CHILDREN HAVE THE FOLLOWING IMMUNIZATIONS:

THE LAW REQUIRES SCHOOLS TO MAINTAIN COPIES OF ALL STUDENTS IMMUNIZATION RECORDS. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR CHILD'S RECORDS EACH TIMESHOTS ARE GIVEN.

 

DISCIPLINE POLICY FOR BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

PRAISE AND POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT ARE EFFECTIVE METHODS OF BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT. THE STAFF AT BUTTONS AND BOWS WILL PRAISE, REWARD AND ENCOURAGE THE CHILDREN. THEY WILL REASON WITH AND SET LIMITS, MODEL APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR AND MODIFY THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT IN AN ATTEMPT TO PREVENT PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY OCCUR. THEY WILL LISTEN TO THE CHILDREN, PROVIDE THE CHILDREN WITH NATURAL AND LOGICAL CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR BEHAVIOR, RESPECT THE CHILDRENS NEEDS, DESIRES AND FEELINGS, IGNORE MINOR MISBEHAVIOR AND EXPLAIN THINGS TO THE CHILDREN ON THEIR LEVEL. BUTTONS AND BOWS MAY USE SHORT SUPERVISED PERIODS OF "TIME-OUT" AND WILL STAY CONSISTENT IN OUR BEHAVIORMANAGEMENT PROGRAM.

 

MEDICATIONS

NO OVER THE COUNTER DRUGS OR MEDICATIONS WILL BE ADMINISTERED. A MEDICATION AGREEMENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED FOR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS. THESE FORMS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE OFFICE.

 

SAFETY

EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBERS ARE KEPT AT THE DIRECTORS DESK AS WELL AS IN THE CLASSROOM. PLEASE BE SURE TO UPDATE ANY CHANGES. WRITTEN NOTICE WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ANY CHILD TO LEAVE SCHOOL WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN A PARENT. REPORTING OF SUSPECTED CHILD

 

ABUSE/NEGLECT

ALL STAFF WILL COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHILD ABUSE REPORTING ACT BY BRINGING SUSPECTED CASES OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.
